Background

Gasemba Christian Children’s Foundation Uganda (GCCF) is a voluntary, Christian based, non-sectarian and non-partisan non-partisan non governmental organisation situated in Kabowa-Kampala village, Namiizi ward, Jinja North Division in Jinja City. GCCF was founded in 2020 by Timothy Arthur Gasemba and Kisakye Rebecca..

Gasemba Christian children’s  Foundation is a fully registered NGO (No. INDR16359564NB) which started in 2020 as a charity outreach.

. GCCF’s intervention areas are mainly in the categories of; education enablement, healthcare, sustainable livelihood, and child rights and gender equality especially for underprivileged children.

To initiate holistic development Programs among children with special needs, youths and women by promoting quality and developmental impact oriented training in; education and research , entrepreneurship training, mentorship, guidance and counseling, personal growth and leadership development and information communication technology so as to meet the changing needs of the youths and society at large for suitable development.

Key goals & Objectives

We are a community-driven organization with big plans.  We initiate projects that are community-druiven and sustainable.

Key project objectives

  • To promotes right-based education for Children and Young people with disabilities and without disabilities through inclusive Education
  • To support and provide related services to homeless children with disabilities who are abandoned in communities
  • To work with an array of Rehabilitation Service Providers(RSPs) to support holistic rehalitation and rehabilitation for PWDs and people without disabilities. Rehabilitation support includes; surgeries, mobility orientation, counseling, provision of assertive/mobility devices to especially children and young people with and without disabilities to enable them fully participate in development programme in society and; training in activities of Everyday living such as feeding and bathing among others.
  • To influence policy change by contributing to awareness on disability rights in communities and among policy actors such as building the capacity of people with and without disabilities to advocate for their rights, building capacity of duty bearers both government and other actors and sensitizing the communities to change attitude towards persons with and without disabilities and promoting, sharing and learning based on our programmes as a tool for policy change.

  • To support and promote access to safe water and sanitation to PWDs and people without disabilities in Schools and communities.
  • To support and address un employment challenges among the PWDs and people without disabilities through skilling them for selfemployment.

  • Put education, both inside and outside of a classroom, at the forefront of all initiatives for PWDs and people without disabilities
  • Create opportunities that unlock community members’ potential.
  • Provide Ugandan women and girls a voice for PWDs and people without disabilities .
  • Measure and assess the impact of our programs.
