Our history

Timothy Gasemba grew up in a polygamous family, where they lived 30sibilings with both parents who were mainly peasant farmers, only growing food for home consumption. Through this struggling life, his parents could do casual work, in order to get his school fees. Timothy and his sibling could fetch water for other community members to pay their school fees. By God’s grace, Timothy was able to study and attained his bachelors in clinical medicine and community health.

After college while in village, He saw hunger, increasing community illnesses but also saw thirst, thirst for knowledge, thirst for a better tomorrow, thirst to lift themselves out of gripping poverty. He then developed the idea to start up the foundation to overcome the above challenges, Gasemba Christian children’s foundation (GCCF).
